Happy Birthday To My House

I bought a house today! Yes, I really did it. You haven’t heard anything about it because I was so afraid I’d jinx it. We can all breathe now – it’s DONE. It’s also why I’ve been so quiet this month… I wanted to blog, but I was worried that once I started, I’d have to tell you about my house. So (especially to my wonderful Mother, who did not get a Mother’s Day blog post), I am sorry I’ve been a slacker. (I *did* celebrate Mother’s Day though – be serious, I am not THAT bad of a slacker.)

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am. Well, I guess this would kind of be a beginning. My wonderful house has a gigantical backyard (yes, I know gigantical isn’t a word), a beautiful bunch of peonies growing on the property line, and loads and loads of trees. Inside, it’s in great shape. I had my own master-of-all-things-house-related, aka Dad, check it out for me. New windows? Check. New roof? Check. New kitchen? Check. Newish paint? Check. Absolutely gorgeous hardwood floors? Check. Unfinished basement? Heck yes. Oh yeah, I’ve got a few plans in mind. It’s got to have my stamp on it, don’t you think? For tonight though, I’m just going to enjoy the moment. Happy Birthday to my house!
